Graham Strengthens Team With Two Additions
August 25, 2016
Graham Architectural Products is pleased to announce the additions of Keith Grim as quality manager and Derrick Girouard as estimator.
Keith will be responsible for Quality Assurance at Graham’s Mt. Rose and Eden Road facilities in York, PA, as well as at its New Castle, PA, production facility. He will focus on product quality, key quality metrics across the business, and quality improvement initiatives. He is also being counted on to drive continuous improvement through control plans for key processes; training materials on standard operating procedures and quality expectations; a vendor quality management program; and corrective action processes.
Keith earned a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from Pennsylvania State University, and holds several certifications including 6 Sigma Black Belt, ASQ certified Quality Engineer, ASQ certified Quality Manager, and ASQ certified Quality Auditor.
He previously worked as customer quality manager at JLG Industries, where he coordinated teams of multi-functional engineers to determine the cause of equipment failures and implementation of repairs with the service managers in the field. He also managed and coached a team of engineers to implement lean manufacturing improvements in equipment assembly facilities using 6 Sigma and lean principles such as SPC and 5S. Prior to this, Keith worked as supplier quality manager at Tyco Electronics, where he identified, planned and implemented strategic 6 Sigma/Lean projects which resulted in significant savings. He also managed a team of seven engineers whose focus was to consistently establish, align, and maintain effective sourcing, migration policies and operating procedures across global manufacturing facilities in the United States and Mexico, as well as product migrations using Safe Launch procedure.
Derrick, meanwhile, will be supporting Graham sales efforts by providing competitive project pricing derived from information supplied by our team of outside sales representatives.
He comes to Graham from Armstrong World Industries in Lancaster, PA, where he was a CAD technician for Architectural Specialties. There, he created and managed multi-million dollar custom ceiling projects, while also helping to train his colleagues on efficient ways to manage projects. Prior to Armstrong, he was a designer for NVR, Inc. (also known as Ryan Homes). At NVR, Inc., he was responsible for the creation of new homes, estimating costs of builds, and creating new ways to help reduce time and increase efficiency in AutoCAD.
After four years of active duty in the Air Force and multiple tours overseas as a firefighter, Derrick graduated from YTI Career Institute in 2013 with a degree in specialized technology. During his time at YTI, Derrick worked for St. Onge Company as a drafter/designer. He is currently pursuing his bachelor’s degree in management with a concentration in leadership, and is on track to graduate next spring.
Outside the office, Derrick is a professional racquetball player with various tournament wins under his belt.
