Graham Curtain Wall Solutions Adds Two, Promotes One

Graham Architectural Products, Curtain Wall Solutions, Merrill, Wisconsin, announces the addition of two associates and the promotion of another.
Ken Schmidtchen is Curtain Wall Solutions’ new engineering manager, coming to GAP from Kalwall Corporation where he spent 20 years at serving as project engineer, staff engineer, and most recently as engineering manager.
As engineering manager, he was responsible for all of the technical and engineering related functions, including field installation, code compliance, thermal performance and the overall design of standard, blast and hurricane impact resistant products. Previously, Schmidtchen was also a senior manufacturing engineer with the Voltek Division of Sekisui Chemical.
As Graham Curtain Wall Solutions’ engineering manager, Schmidtchen will plan, lead, direct and coordinate the activities of Merrill’s Engineering Department, including product design and testing, scheduling shop drawings and fabrication documentation. He will also provide technical assistance to the sales group as it pursues new work for Graham.
Schmidtchen received his BS in mechanical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, New York.
In his new role as technical services manager, Ken Boilesen will support Graham Curtain Wall’s increasing pursuit of major curtain wall projects and bookings. With his many years of curtain wall product design experience and expertise at Merrill, Boilesen promises to be an integral part of our growing Engineering Department.
In addition, Boilesen will make sure the manufacturing group is provided with timely, complete and accurate engineering fabrication documentation. He will provide technical and project-specific product application support to sales, estimating, architects, consultants and customers. He will also have an ongoing role in supporting implementation of the V6 software in Merrill.
Meanwhile, Cody Loertscher has joined Graham Architectural Products, Curtain Wall Solutions as assistant project manager. As assistant project manager, Loertscher will respond to customer inquiries, schedule project deliveries and make sure internal and external customers receive their orders, support documents and materials on time and without error.
Cody obtained his BS in management from the University of Wisconsin – Stout, with a major concentration in business and minor in business administration.
